HID Global´s SIO Technology-enabled cards for MIFARE DESFire EV1 and HITAG provide customers with the benefits of HITAG1 technology and the convenience of combining an SIO solution for MIFARE DESFire EV1 on a single card.

The multi-technology solution is ideal for organizations moving from basic HITAG1 to MIFARE DESFire EV1 or seeking a one-card solution that supports both technologies.

The cards are designed to provide seamless migration to HID Global’s iCLASS SE® platform for an interoperable, future-proof solution that delivers increased performance. The iCLASS SE platform goes beyond the traditional smart card model to offer technology-independent credentials based on Secure Identity Object® (SIO®) for higher security and adaptability.
