Presales & Service Engineer
Collaborate directly with client or prospect to develop a solid understanding of their specific goals and objectives.
Conduct client site surveys to ensure a proper understanding of the project scope.
Produce technical content for client proposals including scope, conceptual design, bill of materials, and pricing.
Ensure the design meets client’s objectives, and manufacturers support designed solution.
Support direct sales representatives on key account strategies.
Provide smooth transition from sales to post sales delivery teams. This means participating in design reviews and project planning meetings.
Develop close working relationship with post sales engineers, project managers and technicians to understand delivery challenges or opportunities.
Help develop solutions offerings through innovation while maintaining a competitive advantage.
Works deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity, or as directed by the pre-sales manager.
Following a consultative selling approach, proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
Develop and deliver effective technical presentations to audience of varied technical backgrounds.
Provides coaching and professional development to team-member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
Three to five years of physical security engineering experience.
In-depth knowledge of security technologies including:
Access Control and related technologies (database programming, readers, panels, locks, cabling, etc.)
Video Surveillance and related technologies (Analog, IP, ONVIF, VMS, networking, cabling, etc.)
Knowledge and skill in a wide range of enterprise physical security systems
Relevant mechanical qualification or equivalent with the ability to read and understand technical drawings
